  • Too bad! It was just a thought. I bought a 65 Barracuda /6 auto. I was going to clone it into my original 65, 273 Commando 4 speed that I bought in 1966. But, it is totally original, all matching numbers and a build sheet...changed my mind, restoring it all original. Good luck with your project.

    If you are going to restore the car and the engine is original, the engine can be taken apart and overhauled. The car will be worth more being original. Parts are easily obtained.

    It's more about getting my dad's/ole marines car back on the road. It is all original. Problem with the rebuild is that I don't think there's anyone in my area that could build/rebuild a slant 6 efficiently. If it were a 318+ I'd be in the right place. But there aren't many mopar guys here and even less old school mechanics.
