Does the size of the yoke really matter for a street car? Like I said, I don't really plan on makin this a monster, just a nice daily-able car. Is it worth the money to change to larger yokes?
I know next to nothing about drivetrain, so anything from the transmission back, I need to know...
I don't have a clue what ujoints I have right now. The engine and trans was out of a 77 Córdoba from what I was told and the rear was from a 71 dart I believe. For driveshafts I have the one currently in the car, which is a /6, and an extra that I think is from the same Córdoba but have no way...
Is gonna be a street car, daily driver. Haven't built the engine/ trans yet but not making anything crazy, probably gonna end up with around 300hp. I ask about the driveshaft because strange engineering sells brand new for like $450 and I assume shortening and balancing an old one would cost a...
So I will soon be building an 83/4 for my 70 Dart. I got an abody rear but it's still got the sbp axels and I have no clue what the diff is, other than being 90% sure it's an open unit.
For now the diff will be left alone, I bought this rear from a member about 1.5 years ago who told me it...
was surfing for parts online for my 70 dart and ran across a kit sold on Dante's parts. I believe its around $1100 but comes with front and rear seat covers, headliner, carpet and all 4 door panels. There is another kit they offer for around $700 that has everything minus the door panels.
To...
Thanks just never really heard of doin such a thing, glad it's nothing to worry about. Pretty excited about this truck. needs a few things here and there, but looks like an awesome old daily truck. Gotta have a cool truck to haul around the parts for ur cool car right?! Even better, both Mopar
Lookin into purchasing a 69 D100 this comin weekend. I noticed in the ad that they just installed a GM alternator. Why would someone do that? May that cause an issue? Is it some kind of upgrade?
If it makes any difference, it's a 318/auto 2wd
I do expect awful mileage, as per old trucks. I just don't know trucks or towing very we'll. Wasn't sure if I'd be pushing breaking something pulling a camper. Heaviest thing if pull might be 5-6k lbs, but mostly if pull my Dart or down the road the old Charger I'm (hopefully) getting from my...
I've recently fallen in love with the 68-71 D-Series trucks. Tryin to get one as a DD/camper/work truck. I need to be able to tow my car!
I've found it's rather difficult to get reliable stats on 40 year old trucks, so I figured the great minds here on FABO may be able to tell me!
So...
