I run a 17x8 with 4.5BS, 225/40-17 front. When I had the 17x8 with 4.75BS I had a 245/40-17 front tire. I'd go with a 4.75 or 5" BS for an 8" wide wheel.
I bought one from the eBay auction. I haven't installed it yet, in Afghanistan right now. I did pull it out of the box, looks factory from what I can tell.
I frequent a few MOPAR websites, and have owned my 65 Barracuda for over 10 years but I'm originally a Ford guy. 66 Mustangs have always been my other cars outside of MOPAR. I have a few MOPAR parts on the Mustang and a few Ford parts on the Barracuda.
Same car, but I've been rebuilding...
I run 17x8 on my 65. 18's would work fine as long as you use the correct back spacing. I had AR TT2s, 17x8 with 4.75 BS, 245/40-17 tires front and rear. Currently running Cragar soft 8s, 17x8 with 4.5bs, 225/40-17 front, 245/40-17 rear.

I started the DS but don't have any pics now. I bought a DIY header kit from Speedway Motors. They send a chevy kit and toss in Mopar flanges. I still have the chevy flanges somewhere.
My 65 Barracuda had fenderwell headers with previous owner. He ran over a parking stall divider block and destroyed the headers so went manifolds, which severely choked the side pipes before he sold it to me. I've been making my own headers.
I got blasted a few years back when I talked about my Ford 5 speed swap in my 65 Barracuda. My A-833 locked up in 4th so I mounted a spare T5 behind the 318. My 7 1/4 broke so I installed a 65 Bronco 9" I had laying around. And, I'm a 65/66 mustang guy, so I mounted a stock 65 mustang...
First off, please bear with me, I'm a big fan of all Makes of cars and IRS.
Here's a Mopar w/ Ford T-Bird IRS

I have a 65 Barracuda and have thought to drop in a Cobra IRS also. I also own a Cobra IRS with a chunk of...
