Hello all, I have some decent B body bucket seats out of a 73 Charger and I am thinking of putting them in my 73 Swinger. Obviously, the foam and covering are different in A to B Body. I've heard chatter the frames are the same, or similar enough, to swap. Is this true? Reupholstering them goes...

I just checked to see if I remembered to put teflon tape on the threads. I did not. I applied teflon tape to the threads and thought that would solve the issue. I took it for another drive and still have gear oil spraying out. As Junkyard Hero has asked the question of the rear end being over...

I do not recall. Which probably means no. do you think is blowing out the threads?

i used the recommended 80W90 gear oil

I spoke with Quick Performance and their guy said the breather vent was probably bad. It's a new vent from DR Diff. The vent cap is floppy loose, not like the one on another 8.75 rear end I have. could that be the cause?

yes. it was on 4 equal height blocks so the car was at ride height except 10 inches higher

I consider it a lot when it is spraying the top of the shock and running down the housing and creating a puddle on the floor.

I have just taken my Dart out for another test drive to break in the new rear end after swapping the 7.25 rear end for an 8.75 rear end. Everything is new, including the breather vent, except for the housing of course. Not sure what year A body the housing came from, but it had a vent on it when...

Thanks #Mad Max. It looks good but not what I am looking for. I have a small block in my Dart and 3.91 is a little deep of a gear. I really just need a housing. And Ohio is a bit of a drive from Minnesota.

When I was at the Stillwater Mopars in the Park swap meet in June I saw several individuals that had A body 8.75 housings for sale. It turns out the one I bought, although marked as A Body, is actually for a 67-72 B body. My bad for not bringing a tape measure. I am hoping one of those...

That tracks with what I had in my Dart Sport. It was a 340 car. The Swinger I have now was a slant six car and has manual drum brakes with SBP

Thanks. I had a 73 Dart Sport that had front discs and I had 14” mags on it. Just don’t remember if it was SBP or LBP
