We've received over 10" of rain in the last 2 weeks. According to the NWS, it's 300% above average.
There's less than 1/4" deep, 12" wide puddle on my floor.
We've had 2 weeks of daily rain, pouring at least once a day. Today was the first nice day we've had. I wanted to start on the brakes today.
So I climb into the car where all my books and parts are stored and into a moldy, musty smell that wasn't there before. It's gross. I discover my owners...
I've decided to change out my rims from 13" to 14" because I don't want to spend $175 or more just for a tire or risk buying old, expired stock from questionable online resellers. I can find rims and tires together for less than $120 per wheel.
I've got the economy 68 Plymouth Valiant 100...
I'm looking for the following parts that will fit my 68 Plymouth Valiant 100. My interior is black and I'll probably keep it that way.
Links to online stores are okay if you know where to find them fairly cheap.
- Glovebox liner *anyone know if I can get one more sturdy than cardboard?

Thank you for your post. Your car is looking great. Like the other posters said, it's good to see someone doing the work themselves AND on a daily driver.
I've got a 68 Valiant that needs more work than I originally anticipated and I was wondering if I could drive it and work on it at the same...
Thanks. I know my parking brake was affected by the same rot spot.
I'll check the rest of the area once it's up for the brake repairs.
At least parts aren't too expensive for this car.
It's my floor pan. Ugh. I've got this massively heavy rubber mat covering the entire front floor. I didn't see this.
Where's the best place to get a replacement?
It's been years since I've worked on a car of any make/model and most of my knowledge comes from reading the Hayes/Chilton/Service manuals. My Dad was a bit sexist when it came to car repair instructions.
I've got all 3 books for my 68 Valiant and can't find the answers. There's repair...
I had so much fun yesterday, I forgot to take pics. (Insert sarcasm)
The car was on the trailer with no room up there to work so we decided to take it down. I didn't trust the brakes since the guy I bought it from said the guy before him said they needed bled and when I press on the pedal...
I've got a 68 Valiant and the wipers do not move but the motor jumps. I've got the service manual, a Hayes, and a Chilton book but all 3 say to go up under the dash but do not tell me what I need to remove to get it out. I know there are hoses blocking my way. I can just reach the passenger side...
New drum brake parts ordered today!
My wipers are locked but not the motor. While attempting to remove the glove box liner to access the linkage, I ripped it. It wouldn't come out nicely but that's okay, it was horribly weak from age. Any pressure tore it. Gotta get a new liner.
BUT On the...
