No this will not cause any codes. I have replaced a few tanks for this problem. It will only be a tank problem if it only happens right after fill up. Try not filling tank above 3/4 for the next few times,if the problem does not happen again with tank only 3/4 full then you know.
If the problem is only after filling the tank full you probably have a bad shut off valve in the gas tank causing gas to get into the canister and the evap system. When this happens the car will stumble or stall until the gas is sucked out of the evap system then it will be good until you fill...
