[FOR SALE] 1970 Duster 5.7 Hemi Project - Amherst, NH

Originally a slant 6 car that was running and driving. I have done a bunch of work to it but it still has some left to go. My plan was to have a street strip car that could cruise the highway getting 20+ mpg but also hold its own at the strip. With a 1 year old and more kids in our future, I...

    70 Duster 5.7 Hemi/46RH

Finally had some more time to work on this thing. Finish welded the frame connectors and front fender braces, as well as the front torque boxes. I also scrapped my first idea of a transmission crossmember, and built this adapter to push the trans mount further back as well as use all three of...

please help me with a shopping list? lol

I don't think it's fair to give smart-*** replies. Sure he can Google in 2 seconds and get hundreds of links and try to figure out what's what, which components work with others (i.e. do you need TTI mounts to run TTI headers? Or can you run Schumacher mounts with those headers?). A lot of...

    Which 5.7 to buy?

'06-08 car motor is probably the most cosmetically pleasing to most people (myself included). Simpler coil pack setup, and better looking car intake. Also does not require messing with anything VVT related. You will more than likely have to delete the MDS, which I believe is a lifter swap...

    Which 5.7 to buy?

I think you're going to get mixed answers on this. 2009+ started the VVT and requires a cam phase lockout of some sort in order to do a cam swap, unless you want to keep the VVT and know someone that can tune it. Pretty sure there are some engine management setups that can tune it (maybe...

    Milodon 31000, anyone have it?

I'm unfamiliar with the 73+ linkage so you may be correct. If that's the case, then I'll have to modify the oil pan or send it back. Just for reference, my crank centerline is ~5.25" above the top of the crossmember. What is yours? That may play into steering clearance differences between us.

    Milodon 31000, anyone have it?

I have the 31000 pan, but my 70 Duster isn't finished. In my build thread on here you can see that the pan doesn't have the notch cutout in it for the center link. I'm going to see if I can try a 73+ idler and center link to try and get some more clearance. Not sure if it will make a...

please help me with a shopping list? lol

See my above post, most important thing is if you have a truck or a car engine. I have found the following while mocking up my 2003 5.7 Hemi (truck engine). See my thread on here for more info. - Don't need the oil pick up support stud, truck engine already has this - The factory oil pan...

please help me with a shopping list? lol

I don't think I saw in your post whether you have a truck engine or a car engine? Makes a big difference in radiator choice as the water pump outlets are on different sides...

    70 Duster 5.7 Hemi/46RH

Thank you for your input! Saved me from trying to run an RE housing on an RH. Couldn't find my receipt, and don't have an email from the company so I may have to eat the cost unfortunately. I bought it about a year ago. Picture showing the RE overdrive internals. No governor...

    70 Duster 5.7 Hemi/46RH

Is there an easy way to tell if it's from an RE and not an RH? I'm pretty much a newbie with these transmissions. I just bought the OD housing from a JY company that listed it for, I believe, a '92 pickup (can't remember if it was a Dakota or a Ram). I'll have to go back and find my receipt...
