Just checking in. Haven't driven the Scamp in a while. Tranny went out and don't have time to work on it. Looks like it'll be easier to just take out the engine and tranny since we want to do some upgrades on the engine. We'll get to it someday.
I guess I need to do some homework before I fall on my face with this project. Milling the heads, gears (i have to check that), and cams....I guess I better buy a book for this project. Thanks for the help everyone

This is a 1973 Scamp that we recently purchased. I love driving this thing a lot. I would like to put some power adders on it and really make it scream.
Strictly Stock! But I am thinking about a Cam too......I guess I am trying to build this for speed because I want to put a 727 with a shift kit in it too. :thumblef:
Hello,
I wanted to know which intake would be best for my application.
318 w/360 heads converting from a 2bl carb to 4bl carb. Is there a specific model intake that I would need since I am putting 360 heads on the car. I have had suggestions for both the LD4B and the Air Gap.

From your forums I have guessed these to be a set of 360 1980 head.

I have a 1973 scamp that is in pretty good shape with a 318. I want to put some 360 heads on it with a performance intake. Can someone please suggest the best heads to put on the car. I don't have thousands to spend and I was thinking of completely rebuilding some heads for this mod...
Thanks for the welcome. Currently, we have no extra parts. Will keep an eye out though. We have a 318 in ours and just picked up a pair of 360 heads for $50. Took them to a shop to be cleaned and magnafluxed.
We just bought a 73 Scamp last weekend. It's definitely a fun car to drive and we cant wait to start working on it. We're about halfway between Tacoma and Seattle.
I live in Algona Wa. Halfway between Seattle and Tacoma. Just bought a 73 Scamp on Sunday. When I first moved up here from Sacto, I had a 65 Barracuda that my wife and I restored. Glad to have a mopar again!
