what would be the diff between hyd and mechanical lifters

yes it had solid lifters and mechanical lifters dont know about the cam

just picked up a 4bbl carb its a 600cfm eblbrock, i got it for free from my bro (best price) now i just need a cam and lifters. also was wondering if i could use the stock push rods from my 273ci that i pulled out and rockers or am i going to have to buy new.

thanks for the info. it is a stock 318ci with an auto trans and a posi just want a nice driving street car that will wake up when i hit the go juice pedal. i am making this car for the girlfreind and has to be good o drive but have some power when i drive it. thanks alot

just picked up a 318ci motor for my 1969 dodge dart and it needs a cam and intake and carb. I dont have much experiance with this sorta thing. I dont want to make lotsa power just a little extra to spin the tires and such, what would you guys recomend for a cam and intake manifold and carb...

i have a 1969 dodge dart with a 273 v8 with a colum shift i was wondering what would be involved in changing to a floor shifter never done it befor. and where can i pic one up from does not have to be oem just hate colum shift. thanks matt

I have decided after a year of my 69 dart burning oil i am going to do a valve job and replace the valve seals. where is a place to get a good set of valve seal? i have had bad luck with the cheap seals dont last as long. thanks for the info matt

i just got these wheel from a member here and wondered what tires size would fit nicely on my 1969 dodge dart the wheels are 14x10. i dont know how to decide what tire would fit the wheel. thanks for the info

i know this is not ford but i am a mechanic for honda (sorry i know handa sucks) and the instruent cluster has a built in module that when it gets wet it fries and you have to replace the whole thing. for more info try this forum www.ford-trucks.com you might get more info there.

the socket i found at napa i looked everywere

i went to napa they did not have any for my year but had some for a 70 dart they fit and worked so if any one needs any just look up for a 70 dart and napa will have them

i got a new belt had a deeper v and was tall sits alot better in the pullys seemed to of fixed it:cheers: thanks for the replies

well found some info on other posts:read2: about some nuts that hold the power dist. board to the inst. cluster causing this so i pulled out my gauges and cleaned the terminals and it seemed to fix it now i was wondering were to get the bulbs and holders for the inst cluster i broke a few
