    Electrical issue (video in OP)

Your solutions always make me feel dumb, sir. That seemed to clear it right up, just cleaning the terminals with a wire brush. My ammeter, without going through the steps you listed above, only shows negative. I assume that's a pretty good sign that the alternator is shot? I tested it earlier...

    Electrical issue (video in OP)

My Dart started having some sort of issue today. I suspected that the alternator was going, because the car wasn't running very well, and I kept having to boost it. I borrowed a battery charger last night and charged the battery fully, which was enough to go around town a couple times today and...

    65 Dart New Brake Issue

That was part of the problem for sure, TrailBeast. I was lucky I suppose. Once I put the drums on I discovered the 10" drum was the problem. Still waiting on my 9" replacement.

    65 Dart New Brake Issue

Think I found my problem. The passenger side rear drum is 10". Thanks for pointing out that I had the DS shoes backwards. Not sure how I messed that up but now it's fixed. Back to the parts store tomorrow morning. I'm working a 48 hour shift starting tomorrow, so at least I won't be waiting...

    65 Dart New Brake Issue

I recently rebuilt my entire brake system, new MC, new drums, shoes, cylinders, and hardware. I only left the brakelines that weren't broken in the course of me replacing everything. At the moment, I have the system bled. There are no leaks that I can find. I'm encountering a strange issue on...

    Instrument lights don't work

Problem solved. I removed the switch and cleaned all the contacts with sandpaper, including the rheostat. Now I have dash lights. Thanks everyone.

    Instrument lights don't work

Every tail light works. The switch is on, rotated fully to the left.

    Instrument lights don't work

Got a tester today. No power at the fuse block for instrument panel. No power on the tan wire from the switch.

    Instrument lights don't work

Thanks. I didn't know they were interchangeable.

    Instrument lights don't work

I checked the My Mopar site, the 1966 manual is the oldest Dart manual. I already have it.

    Instrument lights don't work

The cut wire is on the right side of the picture, you can see where it is cut at the bottom of the photo. It looks reddish to me. I'll need to get a tester, my multi meter is dead apparently. I haven't found a service manual for 65 yet, I've been referencing a 66 that I got from the page you...

    Instrument lights don't work

65 Dart 270. I did a search and reviewed all the threads I could find regarding people with no instrument lights. I tried several of the remedies to no avail, even putting in a new light switch. My problem is that the gauge backlights aren't working at all. First check was to the fuse...

    Carpeting Issues- non molded carpeting

Thank you. I realized I'm a total moron though, I put the rear carpet in backwards and couldn't tell the molded sections from the wrinkles. Once the carpet flattened out a bit I realized it had the molded areas. It will still need some heat gun work I think, it's been rolled up in the box for at...

    Carpeting Issues- non molded carpeting

My car came with a brand new carpet sealed in a box in the trunk. Today I tore the carpet out and prepared to install the new carpet. Unfortunately, it's not molded. The front part looks like it will fit fine with some trimming, but the rear section will need to be molded to the floor pans to...
