Oil Pan to ground and front end travel

The body is a 69 dart, looks exactly like a 68 hemi dart. A worn out 440 +30 to dial car. It's 12.5 with a cam and a 850. Same combo that went 11 teens the last time I ran the car in 1983. Yeah, long time...Navy, work, kids, divorce. Dug it out, narrowed the rear, removed the leaf link...

Oil Pan to ground and front end travel

tks junior, guess it didn't take much to convince me to go to the short pan. The fenderwell headers really dictated the stock engine location which caused so many issues. "Man only truly learns from negative experiences" Nice work on the pan and crossmember. Good looking welds man

Oil Pan to ground and front end travel

thanks hangn0ut, I knew I was short on front end travel at 3 1/2+". Caltracs need 5" but it's a snowball kind of thing...Can't increase rollout or ground clearanance with bigger front tires (25x5) cause I have fenderwell headers. Dragstrips are straight but ya gotta turn around lol. Yeah TTI's...

Oil Pan to ground and front end travel

Hey hang0ut, wish you had kept what you typed cause I'm on the footbrake. I should have been more specific. Trying to build a NSS type car. No box, no brake.

Oil Pan to ground and front end travel

hey all 69 dart (hemi clone), RB, milodon 31470 pan, calverts, on the brake if i set the pan to ground at 3inches...when i leave at 2500 car pulls the wheels a foot or so; leave at 3500, chassis is loaded more and the car doesn't hook so well. Darn front end is so high at static height that...

    Large omega m decal

Can anyone help me find a source for large mopar m decals? I want one large enough to place on my 69 Dart roof and a couple for the trailer. After google search, looks like a custom vinyl shop but I get tired of seeing bowtie/blue oval crap for just about everything right off the shelf. Sorry...

    68 vs 69 Dart grille??

Hey everybody, Has anyone seen the Mopar Action mag, April 09 edition? Another blast from the past, Mr. Norm is selling like 25 '69 Darts with 440 six-packs. Put a lil smile on my face but I guess after all these years...I don't know squat. My '69 Dart and everyone I have seen has a grille...

    tubular upper control arms???????

thanks for the input guys. will try the site. I did like $26k worth of line-ups one year for a place I worked so I've got some handle on taking it somewhere to get the job done, but that doesn't mean I know it all lol. Shortz, I was waiting for someone to mention the limits of a stock upper...

    tubular upper control arms???????

When I rebuilt the front end of my 69 Dart that had sat outside for 27 years, I discovered the upper control arms were rusted beyond use. Since it is to be a race car only, I purchased a set of tubular units from Mancini. I've bought stuff from them since the 70's and have been treated well...

I'm new, car's old but the dream continues

Aw guys, I'd be ashamed right now. I've got a few pics that I took during the process but she's kind of like the girl at closing time. I can see what she WILL look like but right now better keep the lights down low. I don't have a shop of my own so I had to do alot of prelim stuff outside and...

I'm new, car's old but the dream continues

Well I wasn’t going to do this ‘cause the last time I did on another site I got slammed for not having the “correct combination” but here goes. Friggin’ rich kids… Parked my 69 Dart for 27 yrs @ friend’s house while in Navy. Now 58, home again and losing sleep thinking ‘bout getting my old girl...
