With no pictures, possibly significant rust, no drive train. Maybe $1000 tops? Maybe
I've paid $800 for a similar style shell with 3 short block big block cores, 3 transmission cores, and sheet metal to repair the car like 5 years ago
Does it catch shortly after you begin turning in either direction? Or does it feel like a singular spot every 360* of the wheel turning
If you can't physically see it hitting something in the engine compartment my first guess would be that one of your lower ball joints in the steering linkage (1...
I've never dealt with 8.25s before so I'm not sure about interchange of parts of years. I always thought there was a limit of carriers in the sense of 1 carrier for the higher range of gears, and another carrier for the lower range of gears and I dont know where the split would have been. All i...
I know mid 2000's jeep liberty's had 8.25 rear ends and i believe most were geared in the 3.2x-3.7x range and many had limited slips. Maybe you can grab an entire carrier and pinion out of one of those and drop it in?
I love the 4 door cruiser and you have an amazing start to that project...
Maybe? I don't have anything to go off of but based on the glass and the regulator it seems like that might be it
Is there any other styles?

If your came stock with a 273 and that is the original transmission then it is most likely a 904 but like what was stated before. Just take a peek at the pan and confirm 100%. These cars are old, with who knows how many owners, and who knows how many modifications have been done to them.
Hi @Miles73 , I'm located in long beach as well and I have some 4 speed parts available. I can't seem to open a conversation with you, I think your mailbox is full. If interested please message me so we can discuss
I recently bought a McLeod 130t flywheel off summit with the little incherchangable weight package. I'm currently running an LA 360 but I would like to keep my options open to swap to any other small block in the future. Haven't installed it yet but did open the box and it looked to be excellent...
My guess would be that with a magnum short block, you would need magnum balancing. That being said, looks like you have a previously opened and modified engine. I think you need to take it to a machine shop and have them inspect everything and tell you how to balance it correctly
I have never tried them but I have heard that Just Dashes is top-notch in dash restoration. Jay Leno speaks very highly of them and has even done free promos for them because of their quality
