I checked the casting number and bore measurements multiple times because they didn't make sense. Think it was a '73 casting date. It has the 'hourglass' or infinity symbol looking coolant ports in the deck. I didn’t get any other numbers off the block, will have a look next time I’m there...

My friend has a block with casting number 3698630-400 that has a 4.25” bore. Anyone ever see this before? Is is a service replacement block for a 383? I'm guessing it should be ok to bore to 400 size?

273 engine from '65 Belvedere. Turns over, bores look reasonable. Partially dismantled but appears to be complete. Has adjustable rockers. Heads look like they may have been rebuilt but have surface. If you can use and can pick it up from Fullerton Ca you can have it free. I have an engine hoist...

Thanks guys. Are '67-69 A body the only tracks that will work? I see the floor reinforcements fit through '76 - are the pans the same?
