    Feedback on 4.7L V-8?

Ive got an 05 Dakota with a 4.7 now - trans just lost 3rd gear but the 4.7 is still good at 155K. I had an 01 Grand Cherokee that had 288K on it when I sold it and it was still running great. That said - 4.7's get lousy mileage Both my full size 5.7 trucks got better mpg with 50% more power to boot.

    Breakdown Engine hoist?

Ive been storing an OTC branded ex-rental hoist for a buddy for over 20 years. Setup or break down in under a minute with no tools. It and a 440 will fit in the trunk of a 1970 Chrysler Newport. It is pretty sweet

    Automatic shifter Hurst or B&M

Although most typically seen in GM cars you could buy a "Universal" Dual-Gate shifter for your Mopar back in the day. Makes sense that that is what Hurst would have put in their cars.

318 Duster Rebuild - pros and cons of keeping matching numbers

Unless you have a good local shop I'd be super wary of sending an engine off somewhere to be rebuilt. Maybe consider keeping your original engine stored away and put a crate magnum in its place. Looks like ATK will sell you a 350HP 360 for $4,100.00 ATK HP113 Chrysler 360 Magnum Engine 350HP I...
