How to identify OEM vs aftermarket heater core?

Here is the heater core. It holds water; a start. I'll hook it up to the engine and warm it up and see what happens.

How to identify OEM vs aftermarket heater core?

68 Barracuda, non-AC. How do you identify an OEM heater core? I have 2 as rebuilding candidates. I don't see any Chrysler markings, which I would expect with an OEM core. Robert

    Rear tack strip bolt sizes

if you look closely at this picture from the 68 Plymouth manual, you could convince yourself that small bolt in the middle of the side is a machine screw thread. This picture also shows that the ends of the side strips have a large round thick washer under the bolts. Have you seen that?

    Rear tack strip bolt sizes

Thanks Dana. I've figured out a bit of that in the last few hours. It's disappointing that there is no picture (except for one generic one) in the service manuals. I could also find no listing for the tacking strips or the fasteners in the 68 book. However, I worked a parts counter at a...

    Rear tack strip bolt sizes

What fasteners are used to attach the rear tack strips? Are they all 1/4-20 bolts? Three are two types of bolts on my car that are clearly factory correct. Both are 1/4-20 x 1.5" with either a round or large rectangular washer. There are 4 other holes that have a variety of 5/16-18 bolts (and...

Who makes good oil pans for the SBM?

I was about to start a thread asking about this pan and interferrence issues, but I'll jump in here as your info seems to be the opposite of the Milodon advertising. Milodon states on their website that the 31590 pan, "Works on 1967 to 73 cars with later 1973 to 1976 A body K-member.". So they...

    Windshield code of fender tag?

That's what I'm starting to think. I did some more searching after I posted. I have a fastback that has a 1 under the X on the fender tag. On this website: 1967-1968 Mopar Fender Tag Decoder, Chrysler, Dodge, Plymouth That shows as Tinted Glass (All). I am assuming that if there is nothing...

1968 Barracuda hubcaps and wheel covers

1968 Barracuda hubcaps and wheel covers

Were the hubcap or wheel cover option coded on the fender tag on a 1968 Barracuda. Mine has no code for wheel covers. Does this mean that the code was not marked, or that it came with the base hubcaps? Have have a very vague memory, from years ago, of being told that the wheel covers were not...

    MAD Bypass Question

Dan, Why two 10ga in parrallel? Why not one 7ga with 100A fuses? Although, I guess you'd have to use 6ga; 7ga is probably uncommon. Is it just that the 10ga is easier to work with? Bob

Kilometers per hour speedometer for 67-69 Barracuda

I am looking for an export speedometer that measures in kilometers per hour. I would prefer a 68 or 69, but 67 will also do. The 68 and 69 go to 240 KPH. 67 go to 200 KPH, and there is possibly a 240 KPH version. Please PM me. Thanks, Bob
