Not a trans. guy but i have a manual valve body in my 904 and you have to manually pull down shift lever to get into first gear. If not done it stays in third gear.

If it is basically a stock system a universal system should work good.

Cable was new three years ago(very low miles since install)

72 dart with a 904 trans. The odometer works as it should(recording mileage) The speedometer(gauge needle)does not work properly. Just sitting it reads about 50mph and goes up or down as it is driven. Cable problem? gear problem?Thoughts.

Yes a Mopar Battery. I did not want to push my luck,thats why i changed it out.

The original in my durango went eight years, so i went with another AGM. It is also a pain to change it out.

I had my 72 dart re-arched several years ago and they are as good today as they were when done.

I had mine done in regular roll fiberglass,AFTER it was built. It does make a difference in summer winter not so much. Our temps. are similar to yours. I have been pleased with mine.
