I removed them with the upper moldings still in place. Like RedFish says, remove the upper steel panel and the door jamb seal. Take all the removable hardware off the window and take it outside of the roof rail and a bit forward using the void the jamb seal covers.
Yes, you absolutely need additional support. I realize Magnumforce considers it an optional kit, but the shock mounts were never designed to carry the weight of the car.
I put US Cartool connectors on first and then welded on factory type torque boxes. Went on easy that way. My understanding that if you do the torque box first, youll have to either trim the connector or make a slice in the box.
I still have my set of magnum porting templates. Due to their lack of availability, I'm interested in not "losing" them.
Scanning them may not yield good results, they are transparent plastic with small black arrows printed on them.
I made a baffle with help from the same article 66dart mentioned, I'd say it was at least 8 years ago (considering I only have analog pics of my engine build).
I'll see about taking a picture of a picture and posting it.
Dont forget to use the 5% off code for RockAuto. Just google for it, there's always one around and easy to find. There are a couple forums out there that have a permanent discount in place.
