    Lost low beams

I forgot to mention that whoever "restored" this car did a crap job of masking stuff off when painting. Everything has paint on it, even the wiring harness. I'll try to scrape off some paint, but can you tell me what color the wires should be? For Hi, Lo, Ground?

    Lost low beams

I just installed a new one today. Same thing happened. I guess it COULD be faulty right out of the box. That would be my luck.

    Lost low beams

I'm trying to think this through.... How does the dimmer switch actually, physically work? Should there always be 12V going to low beam, and then "jumped" over to connect to the hi-beam when pressed? I'll have to pull the sill plate and roll back the carpet to get to it again, but when the...

Can you tell me where that ground wire is located?

    Lost low beams

1965 Valiant 200 convertible. My hi-beam indicator in the dash doesn't work. Yesterday morning, I flipped the foot switch back and forth to see where I left it (I live in a rural area and use the hi-beams regularly on the back roads). The beams switched once or twice but now when I use the...

Yes, everything was there to make it work.

    1965 Valiant brake woes

I got the Valiant back today and it FINALLY has brakes that inspire confidence and not a pucker factor. Got rid of the leaking power booster and proportioning valve (the shop thinks the prop valve was plumbed wrong, too). Installed a distribution block and manual drum/drum master. I've only...

    1965 Valiant brake woes

Whew! Luckily, the switch on the pedal is still there! I can see where they pulled the wires through the firewall. Hopefully, this won't be a big deal.

    1965 Valiant brake woes

I have an appointment next Tuesday to get all the stock brake stuff swapped over, but I noticed something this morning. The master cylinder that's being removed has the brake switch on the side. The '68 style doesn't have a port for a brake switch. What's the workaround for this?

    1965 Valiant brake woes

That's what I'm doing. I just wanted to make sure that distribution block was what I needed.

    1965 Valiant brake woes

Well, the distribution block seems to be lost in the mail. While I'm waiting for it, can I get some clarification on swapping the prop valve for a distribution block? I contacted Inline Tube and they told me to use part # BLK243. This factory-style distribution block is for 1965-66 Mopar A-...

    1965 Valiant brake woes

I can see them on the inside firewall, under the dash. They look to be in good shape. I've seen pics where the distribution block is mounted low, on a frame rail. I've seen some on the inner fender. The prop valve is on the inner fender, near the m/c. If I may have to fab a couple of new...

    1965 Valiant brake woes

Will I need anything to mount the '68 m/c to my '65 firewall? Am I missing any brackets or anything?

    1965 Valiant brake woes

So, if I've replaced two bad front drums and some bad wheels cylinders, I should have everything at the wheels ready to go. My plan now is the Raybestos dual circuit master cylinder, as used on '68- drum/drum cars, and adjustable pushrod, and the distribution block. This should get me back as...

    1965 Valiant brake woes

I've asked my buddy what year his distribution block is from. He has a Barracuda, but I'm not sure what year. If I'm basically going "stock" drum/drum but with a '68 style dual circuit master cylinder, are these the type I'm looking for? ( I was gonna post some OEM used ones from eBay, but...
