For a 2 piece rear main seal should it be installed flush with the block surface or offset like this picture?
Also should rtv be applied to the seal ends where they meet, or anywhere?
I am rebuilding a 360 magnum. The original cam is worn so I have to replace it. I have a good stock cam from a 318.
I read the 318 cam is slightly different than the 360 cam. Would I gain anything by using the 318 cam instead of a new aftermarket stock replacement 360 cam?
I don’t care about top...
I’ll see what the machinist says about the heads. I built a different 360 magnum a long time ago and went straight for aftermarket heads. This one I’m trying to just getting running dependably and then if I decide to do more in the future I can do another build.
I did a leak down on it when it...
Have a 200,000 mile 360 from a 2001 Ram I’m tearing down. My goal is a stock rebuild. I’m hoping I can reuse the stock pistons and just hone for new rings. I will have the heads rebuilt too.
Any recommendations for a Re-Ring kit or kit with pistons if I need them? Or am I better off piecing it...
Going to put a 360 magnum from a late 90’s Ram into my 86 W150 Ram. Going to keep the factory port fuel injection and the 4 speed auto from the newer truck.
What would be a good build to use as a daily driver?
I think 350 hp should make it compare to a new half ton considering now they weigh...
Would these heads be a bad choice for a 360 or 408 in a 86 Ram 4x4? I’d like it to be pretty tame and run 87 octane if possible. I want the truck to be a daily driver.
I’ve got a pair of these heads and I’m wondering what they are exactly?
They came with a project I got and I want to sell them so that I can fund another engine swap. Maybe a price range I could shoot for too? Thanks!
