Steve, I'm really sorry to hear the bad news. I'm sorry I never got to meet your Dad. I'm really glad he got to enjoy the car with you for the past 2 years. Losing a parent is tough. I think about my Dad everyday and wish I could still be sharing some of my experiences with him. Cherish the...
Heading over Thursday. Setting up Friday. If you see the white Demon project car sitting on a trailer across from the Mopar Collectors Guide booth, stop by and say hello. COLOMOPAR, DARTZASTER and I will be selling parts there.
Been awhile so here is a quick update. I've got some wheels and tires put on the car. Got the pedals put in and also slid the engine and tranny into place. Next up will be floor pan and tranny hump work. Not to crazy about the blue engine with the blue body color. Almost too much. I'm hoping it...
The 340 is a 1970 block with X heads. Keith Black pistons and comp cam. The cam is a little hotter than a stock grind but still pretty mild. It should be about 9.5:1 compression. Everything has been balanced. It should run pretty good with the 4-speed. Looks like we'll be backing things up with...
Here's the new project that my brother (colomopar) and I are going to put together. The Duster started life as a slant six with an automatic. we'll be putting a 340 and 4-speed in it with a 8-3/4 rear end. We'll also be converting to large bolt pattern and disc brakes. Should be a fun build.
I got a 72 Duster that is missing the engine and tranny. It was originally a /6, auto car. It has Petty blue paint on it now with 340 stripes and dual scooped hood. Should be fun. I'll try to post some pics later on.
I'm going to put Jim's 340 and a 4-speed in it.
Hey Steve, things are going good. Jim was out my way a couple of weeks ago and brought this 340 with him. I went and bought a new home for the 340 today. If nobody claims it soon I'll have it in the engine bay real soon.
