thanks I dont know It was painted before we bought it by the second owner. must have been paint in the late eighties or so. not sure.

uh? Im not an expert on these. I thought it was all those things. What ever came stock on a 73 340 I know for sure its posi, both wheels move in the same direction when one is turned. 8 3/4 I have been told sorry for my ignorance and the confusion. :???:

car runs great I was driving it a short distance everyday to work now it sits in the garage. I have too many cars for my tight living area I drove it 400 miles straight from central Cal. These are getting hard to find with all the original stuff minus paint.
