I think I'm going to have to ditch the pushbutton idea then...Think a 904 will handle it? If not, I do have an extra 727 on hand. I was only interested in the 904 for weight purposes. My buddy says the 904 will handle it if built with a syncro shift type of pattern....Thanks...Stylo

I have a push button auto...but I thought it looked too small for a 904. I was thinking of using a built 904 for the gasser. I was told the 904 can handle it if built right, and it's much lighter than the 727.---- Thanks-----Stylo

Yup...340's weigh ruffly 535lbs.

Thanks for the input..I might go with my 2nd option of a 340 stroker for weight purposes. I was told going with a straight axle, I could cut out half of the inner fender wells to save a bunch of weight.----Stylo
