Mopar brought home the trophy for Best Engine today at the O'Reilly's car show I went to. The ol Demon drew quite a bit of attention. Happy to say that Mother Mopar was well represented today.

I'm 57 years old and grew up in the 70's and 80's. Born in 68, that was a good year, 68 Hemi Dart and Barracudas..lol....But yes it seems that a lot of things were a lot more affordable back then.

That's the whole issue with building a car today. These manufacturers have priced it out of reach for a lot of people. I remember the days when you could buy a Duster, Dart etc out of someone's yard for a couple of hundred dollars go to the junk yard and buy a 440, 340 or whatever for 50-75...

How did that Browell bellhousing fit?

I heard that the old Ansen bellhousings had a pretty good fit.

I don't know why they can't make a bellhousing that doesn't require indexing, cutting and having to be fabricated.

How did that Quick Time bellhousing line up?

This looks like the application that I need from McLeod's website..I may have to get an adjustable pressure plate for street use. I could send my bellhousing to Lakewood to get them to install a window to make it easier.

My Demon weighs roughly 3,240 with me in the car and that's with a 727..I have an 8 bolt crank in my 440.. I'm going to have to index my bellhousing. It's an old Lakewood. I'm going to check with Liberty about face plating my gears. I'm wanting to build an old school stick car like I used to see...
