Would a 73 three speed motor work in my 72?

I made a mistake when I said nothing broken or missing in that earlier post, I opened it up and seen I’m missing the plastic piece that fits on top of the latch assembly, the one that activates the park switch. Is there somewhere you can buy these ? Or is this a part I need from a used motor?

It has the ground strap on it, is there somewhere else the ground issue could be?

As the title says, could it be the switch or the motor? It on a 72 dart with 3 speed motor.
