Thanks to your post I now have a certain Paul Simon song playing in my head. You can probably guess which one.

    Forum names explained.

I just saw this thread so I hope no one is bothered that I'm resurrecting it with a new post. A rather long time ago when I was going to school to get my FAA license I took a job at a huge and fascinating used book store in Burbank Ca. The first day there Mitch, one of my coworkers, overheard me...

Dash Pad Question for 75 Duster

If they had, my dash pad would already be on its way over there. They told me directly that with nothing to go on they would have to guess at the proper shape, and they have no stored records or reference material to fall back on. I was reading comments in the archives a few weeks ago looking...

Dash Pad Question for 75 Duster

It's a 75 Plymouth Duster. I've had the car since 1981 so I'm more than a little attached to it and I'm trying to get things done right as I go along.

Dash Pad Question for 75 Duster

My dash pad foam has completely collapsed leaving the pad a shapeless and thoroughly disfigured wreck. As such I can't send it to Just Dashes for restoration. Per the conversation I had with one of their reps when I visited their shop in Van Nuys last week they determine the shape a pad should...

73 Dart Sport Dash Panels removal.

I does in the sense that you can look down through the exposed slots in the top of the dash and see where many of the fasteners are hiding. You may even be able to reach some of the with the right tools.

73 Dart Sport Dash Panels removal.

There’s no easy way to do this job. I had the windshield out and the dash rocked aft on the lower mount bolts for easier access and still carved up my hands and arms reaching the nuts. If you’re planning to reuse the panels those plastic studs break off at the slightest provocation. Without...

My 75 Finally Gets The Attention It Deserves(This Could Take a While)

I finished sanding down the right side of the body this weekend and found another problem. I can't find any off the shelf patch panels for this area so hopefully something can be fabricated without too much trouble. I'd really like these repairs to be done properly so that they don't need to be...

    NEW Road House Movie.

I thought Hailee Steinfeld did a fantastic job with her character and wasn’t obnoxiously stilted in her lines the way the previous actress had been in the original. So as much as I like watching a good John Wayne movie I prefer this remake to the original. The only real complaint I have is with...

My 75 Finally Gets The Attention It Deserves(This Could Take a While)

That's exactly what I was thinking as they explained the process to me. I know there are other shops out there that redo the dash pads and I can buy one they have on the shelf and send my steel core in for a discount, or I believe some of those shops will rebuild a proper pad around my core. I...

My 75 Finally Gets The Attention It Deserves(This Could Take a While)

I was out in California for my nephew's wedding this past week and stopped by Just Dashes in Van Nuys to see what they could do for my Duster. I'm glad I did because I learned something critical about their dash pad repair process. They try to replicate the original shape of a dash pad based on...

My 75 Finally Gets The Attention It Deserves(This Could Take a While)

There's no denying this was a really fun car to drive, which is why I held on to it. I always imagined I'd get it back on the road at some point, I just didn't realize I'd be sixty by then.
