    Warped exhaust manifold

Yes, everything is bolted up properly. The exhaust is clearly warped somehow.

    Warped exhaust manifold

Hi all, I am running a four barrel Offenhauser intake manifold with stock exhaust on my 225 ci engine. I had an exhaust leak, so I took the two manifolds into my machine shop to have the manifold to block surfaces machined for better a better seal. Is it possible for this procedure to warp...

    Slant six rear main seal

Thanks for the response. Very helpful. I do have a service manual, so i will look in there. I just wanted to hear people's experiences to see if there were any special tricks I could learn

    Slant six rear main seal

Hi, I tried searching my question and didn't find an earlier post, so I am asking now. Does the engine need to be removed to replace the rear main seal on a 1972 225? What is the procedure to R&R the seal? Thanks

    rebuild suggestions

Hi, I am doing a rebuild as well. I have some questions if you don't mind. How thick is your head gasket? What spark plugs do you run? What is your initial advance? What was your break-in procedure? Can you still use 87 octane gas? Thanks

The exact compression isn't important. I just want to still run 87 octane gas. Thanks everyone for the info. Taz

    Milling 225 head

Hi everyone: I am working to improve my '72 Duster for better everyday driving. The stock compression on it is 8.2:1. Can I mill the head to reach 9.2:1? How much comes off? Do I need to change out any of the stock valve train? Are there any problems with milling the head? Thanks, Taz

    Cheapest ways to increase power

Hi Raleigh Rocket: You suggested milling a 225 head 0.100 to increase power. I want to mill my head but have a couple of other questions if you don't mind. My current compression is 8.2:1. What will 0.100 mill raise compression to? Can I use all stock valve train? Peace, Taz
