I’m trying to use the 999 trans and the torque converter fits but bottoms out in the 340 crank and does not reach the flex plate ?? The 318 is .720 deep and the 340 is .650 deep ?? Anybody ran into this ??

Does a 340 take a special torque converter?? Because the crank pilot is shallower then a 318 ? I pulled a 318 and put in a 340 and the torque converter bottoms in the 340 crank pilot??
