thanks for the info. got a 68 conv. a driver so i sold my 340 and keep the 6. i know i will never get any respect for this but .

I know it is only six cylinders but pulled the motor 15 years ago, forgot how to wire under the hood.

Did you find the windshield seal ?

not sure about switching the manual column for the auto on the column . Hope some one smarter than me knows bud

I will check the length. I do know the p/s shaft is 4 in. Shorter than the standard. I need the shaft with the top and lower bearing. Thanks bud

since you are switching 6 to v8. dose anyone have a p/s column or steering shaft for a 68

need steering column shaft for 68 dart p/s . Changing from manual to power.. Old column is from a 273 car.

I did find a 69 dart p/s, pulling the 318 this weekend. Hopefully i can use parts from it. I appreciate you replys. I will let you know what happens. Bud

The column has only one switch just inside the firewall. I think it is the nuetral safty switch but i have been screwed up before. The column shaft is 3/4 in. Thick.

damn i hate to hear that. i now have 2 colums and neither fit.. but it looks like i will find another. easer said than done. what years can i get to fit. thanks
