I got a 1958 dodge d100 with a 315 poly and a 4 speed transmission...
Question I have...is there an automatic transmission that will bolt up to the current bell housing???
Having issues with my stromberg ww 2 barrel carburetor.
It has just been rebuilt by a reputable carb rebuilder. I am using a electronic fuel pump ( 9 psi) going to a fuel regulator set at 2.5 psi,
Issue is its leaking alot of gas.
Maybe stromberg carbs don't work well with electric fuel pumps??
I did not mess with the stock wiring. Only thing I did was not use the ballast that is on top of coil. Because that reduces volts down to 6 or 7 for the points ignition. The electronic ignition needs the full 12 volts. I think it's probably the voltage regulator acting up. Today it turned off...
Where are these regulator point type switches?

I have redone all ground cables. Carb rebuilt by professionals. Pertronix electronic ignition in distributor, wired correctly. No more resistor on top of coil, need 12 volts for electronic ignition. New solenoid on fender for starter. New ignition on dash. New electronic fuel pump wired to acc...
My 1958 dodge d100 315 poly keeps running after I turn key off( brand new ignition), and disconnecting battery! Luckily I run a electric fuel pump so I'd finally dies when it runs out of fuel.
Any suggestions??
Does anyone have information on where I can get a throttle linkage return spring/bracket for a 1958 dodge d100 with 315v8? Or a picture of a 315 with the return spring set up.
Thanks
