1971 Demon - My First Mopar Build

I don't have frame connectors. I have Cal Tracs and am not sure what benefit frame connectors would give me over those. Less frame twist? Thanks for the input!

Thanks J! Me either!!! LOL Shouldn't be too terribly long now, here in South Texas we usually get a warming trend in the next 2-3 weeks and I can get back on it.

Thanks for all the positive comments. I really appreciate them! I talked to a buddy of mine that is a master mechanic and he is going to help me get it back together and most importantly- done correctly. I'm trading him a gun and reloading stuff in trade. Gotta love rednecks and Texas!

Some but never as much as I'd like. 8) I finished painting it and am waiting for warmer weather to finish the Dynamat and start putting it back together. Thanks for checking, I appreciate it!

    Most informative ad Ever!

Let's see.... It's in Arizona so if they would list it as a one owner, one of one, and a barn find then it would be worth $100K right? Seems to me that if all the correct buzz words are in the ad the car automatically becomes priceless. ;)

Here are a few more pics of my attempt at body work. All I have left are the Hood, rear deck lid, and the front valance as far as body work goes. Then I'll be able to start painting!!! Yippee!!! I still have some small pieces I'll do as I prep for reassembly. Should begin painting next...

My pleasure! I don't care for the spacers myself but that is how the car came set up when I bought it. I'm not much of a cheap skate but am of the school of thought that if it's not broken, don't fix it.

I believe you are correct because there is only about 3/4" of clearance when the tires are mounted.

Thanks! The serpentine set up is from March Performance. Total was $2,400 which included all the polished components- water pump, alternator, compressor, and remote reservoir PS pump.

The fronts are 4" and the backs are 5 1/2". The kid I bought it from also put some spacers of some type on the rear hubs.

Paint Gun Recommendations for a semi-pro

In my opinion it depends on how many cars you are going to be painting. Amortized over 3 or 4 cars or more the price of the high end guns isn't much. Also depends on what you can afford. To me the higher end guns not only perform better but are easier to use as well. I'm not a pro by any...

Paint Gun Recommendations for a semi-pro

gtmopar- I have a couple of the older Devilbiss guns as well. I have the Starting Line and the Finish Line. For years they were all I used. For some reason I am getting much better results form the LPH400. I'm sure personal preference, what you are used to, tip size, how poorly I used to...

Paint Gun Recommendations for a semi-pro

I recently bought the Iwata LPH400 with the Platinum 1.3 tip. Have used it for both base and clear coats and love it. You have to spray much closer to the piece being painted but the results or phenomenal. No need to cut and buff anymore. Just FYI- the paint supply store I use is also a...

Cost of a single-color paint job?

I think he was asking about a single color, not single stage. One of the best custom shops in my area is also a paint supplier. They only use and sale Matrix. I'm an amateur but have shot just about all the brands and have been very pleased with this line. Since I am going all black I...
