I have recently rebuilt my 318 duster and on the dyno I am creating 423hp(at the crank) and I am curious where everyone has bought their 8 3/4 rear ends??. Also I was wondering if anyone has done a disc brake converstion with their 8 3/4 rear ends. Im looking for info on a 4 wheel disc...

The tranny is strong and the engine should be stought. I believe I will have to buy a torque converter as well... I personally think a 8 3/4 should do the trick I'm just trying to get outsiders prospectives. And no need to buy me lunch, it's free haha. I mean we don't beef up cars to drive them...

So the pops said a 8 1/4 has a weak pinion gear. Any thoughts?

Okay, I sure hope I put 400hp or I will be pissed haha. I will look for both a 8 3/4 and 8 1/4 and see what is readily available

everything I bought(top end wise) is for 318/340/360

im deployed so I will have to have my wife take a pic for me. I basically have a 340 spec car in my 318. I have spent the money to upgrade everything so Im hoping for 400hp which is why I was asking. A bolt in replacement would be preferred but my father and I have been drag racing for years so...
