    Winter water removal

I think the ones I have are Weatherhead Brand, but not sure where they are to double check. Wing 'Plug' is fully removable so you can probe in case of a blockage, which doesn't happen very often when you drain & flush regularly. Does drain faster, too.

    Winter water removal

Find brass draincocks with a brass one piece t-plug w/drain hole in tee. That way the cheap steel riveted tee handle won't get loose before it spins or falls off, leaving you with no way to drain it, short of removing whole valve. Best ones are cast brass. Might have to look at old stock...

Re post for max bore for a sleeve.

As I said in another slant thread, I had one in a 17' Higgins Utility boat & was stuck when I bought, the head had froze. After oil soaking, I broke the rusted cylinder loose w/ sledge & 4x4, then sanded w/80 grit paper, vacuumed, oiled, wiped, repeated, ad nauseum. Put junkyard head on it...

Will Spring-Loaded TDC Locator Tool Work on a Mopar Small Block?

Old race mechanic I know had a whistle for that, an aluminum tube w/ a wedge cut on one side. It connected to cylinder with a hose IIRC. It would confirm you're on compression stroke.

    Hood shocks

I think I've seen where someone else had done that, maybe they used a Duster hinge/spring mechanism But they provided no details, just pics of the end result. The way you did it is first class fabrication. Very Nice. Why didn't you use the standard hinges, instead of the aluminum ones?

Just a shoutout to the worst company I've delt with........

Good to know. Years ago heard same stuff. Seemed better since. When I get around to it, I'll look elsewhere.

    Cam install confusion

Called the Valve Overlap procedure, it is the preferred race engine method of valve adjustment. When adjusting valves on some stock engines(not Mopar)using 'normal methods' straight from the specifications for those engines and then resetting with Overlap, I've seen more valve lift. I've known...

    SRT 10 totaled

Looks like it went over a cliff! & then the responders cut B-Pillars to see if anyone was in there. Maybe nobody was in it, as they'd have to cut a whole lot more to get them out of there, like the whole roof. If no one was in it , maybe it was an insurance job.

Talk Me Out of Buying This Tin Grille

I have a 93 D250 Cummins Club Cab with no rear seat or jump seats. Built a plywood platform w/a pair of pontoon boat cushions. It has Buckets/Captains' Chairs, or whatever they're called, and tilt mechanisms don't work(surprise)so dog would hop up on passenger floor, then console to get in...
