    Back Glass Trim Clips

I've ordered sets from three different vendors. Two were the same. None of them fit. Ended up reconditioning the originals I still had that weren't rotted and redrilling holes for the new ones I needed to use.

Front windshield install with gasket and locking strip

This is the one I have. Same principal, just a different tool:

    Door cards wood trim

I redid the back ones so I could get the seat in. See here: 1972 Duster, 340/4, black on black (the endgame) The vinyl seems to be heat pressed to a thin layer of white foam-like fiber which gives it that little feeling of being soft. The lines in the vinyl pattern hold the vinyl and backing...

    Door cards wood trim

My '72 had them as well as the last '72 I robbed parts from. A88 on the fender tag is for the deluxe interior. These are the door panels off the parts car (no fender tag on that one):

    which paint and glue?

Tamiya Extra Thin is pretty much the norm these days. Tenax 7R was the choice of fast setting styrene cement but they went under and the formula bought out and repackaged as Styrene Tack-It II. I also have a stash of Model Master Liquid Cement #8872 when I need to do some heavier work. It's more...

1972 Duster, 340/4, black on black (the endgame)

Teaser shot: Applying the stripes is the easy part. The hard part is cleaning and polishing black paint beforehand.

    Hood 2 Cowl

Well no, it is designed to only fit one way. The profile of the seal shows that part of it must be vertical across the back of the hood. Try to put it on backwards and the clips won't snap into place.

    "Liquid Sandpaper"

Used it in a collision shop back in the day but it kinda faded out after 3M came up with the Scotch-brite. A scuff pad made it almost as easy as wiping it down.

    72 Duster fender compatibility

Not to put too fine a point upon it (yes, I've been re-reading Dickens) but that "upper grill support" is the upper mounting point for the vertical hood latch mount. The bottom of course is the bottom of the radiator support.

    72 Duster fender compatibility

'73+ have a relocated bolt on the firewall and the tab mount for the header under the hood (that the latch mounts to) is not on the fender.

    Drivers Side Remote Mirror Control

So I looked a second time. Seems the control in the door panel applies to '73 and up. The pics I found of them installed in '70-'72 shows them to be pretty much center from the plate to the front curve and between top to bottom as well. Unless I find reinforcement inside the door there or...

    67 Barracuda Speedometer Questions

What you have is a Duster rallye dash speedo, which are harder to come by than the Barracuda one. The numbers on the Duster speedo are horizontally oriented, the Barracuda numbers follow the circle around.

    Drivers Side Remote Mirror Control

Been wondering the same on my '72 project. It's not quite time to do it here but I did look once and found them in the door panel so now I need to know what's correct.

1972 Duster, 340/4, black on black (the endgame)

Remember that part where I said it was the tail lights that made me fall for this car? Sure. I knew you did.
