Quick question. 71 Duster hood to cowl seal orientation. Which way should it face? Thanks.

It only fits one way.

Well thats simply not true. As depicted and as the question suggest you can very easily install it in two different configs but yes there is only one right way if thats what you mean

Well no, it is designed to only fit one way. The profile of the seal shows that part of it must be vertical across the back of the hood. Try to put it on backwards and the clips won't snap into place.

Agree to disagree sir. The clips went in just fine in both orientations but hardly consider the batner to be necessary. I got the answer I needed. Thank you for contributing.
