I have a new old .462 lift cheater (lofter cam) looks like mild roller lobes that says to use oem 340 springs...ive also got a fresh 318 loose long block just sitting. So tempting not to toss it in and beat the snot out of it. Id never buy a whiplash cam but I did check... the stock 76 318...

I have an nos one SM318, even a nos sp2p and a couple new/old 318 2bbl cams. If any of that would help.

Well of course I do in the specific area of the current modern cams I use. However the older cams are more of grey area when I see things like ADV. 324 dur in a production car cam for say like 1970. If things were so easily understood id ask why there are tons and tons of cam questions on...

I wonder how the 3.45 crank with a hyper smog flat top that can achieve zero deck or a hair above would perform? I have a 318-3 crank that is at 3.45 and in mocking it up with a oem smog slug its just above deck. So with that I could reach zero or better and to me thats a win just there but...
