For sale or trade, 67 dodge dart with a mild 440 and 727 trans. motor bored 20 over with keith black pistons, crane 533 flat tapped cam, crane lifters and push rods,adjustable ductile rocker arms, edelbrock intake, holley 750 double pumper, new fuel pressure reglator, holley red fuel pump, meziere elec.water pump, msd billet distributor,msd 6al ignition box, msd adjustable timing control, trans is a 727 manual valve body with a b&m 3800 shall and b&m trans kit, interior has 2 racing seats drivers has a 5 point harness, 6 point rollbar, aluminum dash and front door panels, autometer gauges, b&m quater stick, line lock, exterior mini tubbed, sub frame connectors welded in, 10 or 12 gallon fuel cell, 8 3/4 rear with 410 gears moser or strange axles, fiberglass front bumper, 4 in cowl hood, needs some body work, new front tires and new hoosier quicktime pro drag d.o.t tires 29 x 11.50x15, all tires are mounted and balanced on steel wheels.
Asking $6500.00 or trade for street car.

Been to the track?

Still have the vin on the door jam, and a clear title?

Any rust issues hiding under the primer?
 
vin still on door,has a clear title and some small rust holes on drivers door and lower quater panel, best it ran was a 6.44 in the 1/8 with a smaller cam
 
Let's see the time slip for the 6.44. On Which track did the car turn a 6.44?

Old Dominion, MIR, 75-80, Mason Dixon, SummerDuck, Cecil County?

I was seriously looking into buying his car, but the performance claims didn't add up. I politely and respectfully asked him to provide some proof, and haven't seen it yet. As a potential buyer of his car, don't I have a right to know if his car really is what he says it is?

In my book a 6.44 is a low 10 or high 9. I've seen alot of 440 combos and that kind of number takes some serious pieces. So either he's an amazing tuner, or he's full of it - I'd like to know which. A few things clue me in to the possibility of the latter - the tiny air cleaner, the traction bars, and the 40 year old TM7 intake - not that the TM7 isn't a good intake...it's just not THAT good. Bottom line is this - If he's full of it, then he's misrepresenting his car for sale on this forum, which is not ok.

PS - calling out BS should never be discouraged, frowned upon, or criticized.
 
the air cleaner is just on there to keep stuff out of the carb. im taking it to the track in 2 weeks and if it dosent ran like i posted i'll change my ad but i will post the time slip so everyone can see what it will do.

hey. that's an xcellent idea..why not post the track and the day you'll run. I would like to go. hav'nt been to any Va. tracks yet.

The car is for sale and it is what it is. Proof of time slip would be nice along with a video. That is up to the seller.

I'm also genuinely interested in buying the car if it runs what he says, would be quite a bargain. I just need some proof, too easy to make a claim like that in order to entice readers into buying your car.

PS - it's been more that 2 weeks since I asked for mph in the 1/8th, 60 foot time, and car's weight. Valid questions to the seller of a drag car - don't I get an answer? Also, if you post a time slip after going to the track, post AT LEAST 2 of em. Would prefer to see a time slip of every run made, and some photos of the car and engine at the track.
 
I would also still like to know, if that is a BOLT screwed into the oil galley at the rear of the block? Those threads are pipe threads, are they damaged?
 
still have cash in hand and getting impatient, better hurry looking at other cars on this site. kevin 716-474-5093
