Just a random post to say if you are bringing home a C-body between 66 and 77 for the driveline/parts and are just going to send the rest to the wrecker, I might be interested. Must be located in southern BC, most of AB or near northern ID. Can be 2dr, 4dr, hardtop, sedan or wagon... Dodge, Plymouth or Chrysler. Will travel far for the right stuff :)

I have a few in Cranbrook, B.C. for sale cheap. Do you want them for demo derby cars?

Its been a pretty touchy subject in a few other forums but yes thats the reason. I try my best to make sure any useful parts get to those who need them before than happens. I know a lot of cool stuff gets smashed up, unfortunately i can only do a little to try and save as many decent ones as possible and i've only ever wrecked the junky rusty ones. Last time i was in your yard Tom, your brother showed me around and i saw a couple maybe's so we'll have to talk. PM me your number and i'll call.

70DartMike, you have lots of interesting stuff there... i'd like to call you as well.

FYI: We're also after 71-76 Chevy, Pontiac, Buick and Olds fullsize wagons and cars for the same purpose but nothing nice. We're going to have the squisher in next month to get rid of the tempos, caravans and that kind of nonsense so i'll have room for good stuff again!
 
I know someone in Trail who used to demo c bodies but is looking to get out. I will say that he has said this before but is still doing it,so I will check with him. He usually has several C bods laying around.

Thanks very much! Usually the Barrett boys get a lot of the cars in that area for that purpose but once in a while one comes my way. I got a similar sounding call from a guy a few months ago saying he was getting out and had two or three left but i couldnt get over there soon enough. Maybe its the same guy?
 
Yup it's Jim Barret I was referring to. He does have a VERY nice c body right now but its a restorer not a derby car. I think its a 72 newport? Has full leather etc,440 runs and drives and very little rust.AC still works! But like said its not a derby car and he needs about $3000 for that one. There are other ones that would be $300-500 cars. I havent been to his place since last year when we pulled a 400 for me but at that time there was a derby c body with a 400 and a c body with 440 that had already been derbied but was still able to move. I'll give him a call and ask for you.
 
He does have one.72 2dr Newport with 400 thats nfg. $250 for the car as is. Also has a good running 440 (74) for it if you dont have one yourself.

And I get the 400 ;)

There's a guy that lives near Colville, WA that seems to usually have a few of them for sale on the Spokane Craigslist. I don't see an ad from him right now, but he used to list them over and over again.

Hey Tom,

I took a job in Fernie for a few weeks (they told me one week lol) so i'll be over to see your cars after that. I'll contact you when i know my last day is getting close. :)

I've actually spoke with that guy a couple times but we've never been able to align our schedules plus his prices have been on the high side of what im used to. Thanks for the information anyhow!

I talk to the Barret boys fairly often, the last time i was there i saw a black 1970 New Yorker that was pretty dam nice for a survivor. Being a car guy, I would never demo something like that. I'll have to call them up again when i get home.

You haven't contacted me yet so.....
I will be going to Cranbrook on the 18th, 19th, and 20th of october if you want any of these cars.
Columbia Recycling in Marysville is willing to give me $125 a ton delivered, so i'll sell them for $100 each if you come and pick them up. Other than that they are going there for $150 each or so and i will haul them up there.
Either way, they are gone as soon as i can haul them out.
Phone me at my brother's place in Cranbrook on those days if you still are interested in them.
I am p.m.'ing you the phone number and my e-mail again.

Hey Tom, sorry i have been outta touch but i have been super busy working on my new backyard, catching up from being gone for a month and working steady cleaning up a local yard full of cars for 40+ yrs. (notta mopar amongst them :( ). I should be able to come up and have a look in the next couple days though. I'll call and set it up.

Mark!? Long time no see... or speak lol Yes it is me with the odd looking smoked fish. My car runs out of insurance on Sunday so i might go paint the town black to finish off the year soon :toothy10:

Ya ,I hear you, insurance is done on the fish and the vw till next year,.........deep sigh....:angry7:
 
It was good meeting up with you after all of these years Paul and talking cars again.
Glad to see the '64 Buick has gone to a good home. (finally!)
If you want any of my other cars or parts, let me know. Cheap cheap cheap!
I did a lot more cleaning up since you left there.

Well its almost April and the snow is dissapearing so time to haul more cars home lol Just wanted to bump this thread and see what i can find...

FYI: the 64 Buick 4dr i got from Tom will not be derbied, just used for parts. 8)
