I finally got my box/cage for my fuel cell, battery&switch, fuel pump and filter done. And it even fit the first time. Woohoo!! And somehow the braided fuel line gods were smiling on me because I didn't have one leak. I think I found the secret. You have to work on the car on the cold concrete outside, in the wind with the average temp in the low 20's before wind chill. I will have to take some more pics. This is it in the mock up state. It now has a 16g skin.

Been there done that and I still shivvvver at the memory of doing clucths in the mid winter laying down in the snow. Brake line fix's. (Thats funny, I have that brake line problem again as in right now. Damn thing burst on me 2 nights ago.)

Oh, looks good.

Went to start up the car and reinstall the exhaust and what do I smell? Fuel leaking inside. Take a look around with my flourescent work light and see fuel coming out of the fuel pump inlet side. Dry it off and what do I have? A friggin crack a friggin crack!*&%$$$$. Grrrrrr now to chase down a housing. I love my car, I love my car, I love my car. Can't you tell?? I have to go take some aspirin now and lay down.

ah the fun..... those little BS details/leaks have been a regular part of my cars build.
I'm glad I don't have the same issues on the trucks I work on at my place of employment or I would seek a new line of work.
