The drums on my 68 barracuda are stamped max size 10.090". Does this mean thats its a 10 inch drum? Will they all be the same size? I thought that 9 inch drums were standard, am I wrong? Im looking to replace a lot of parts next weekend and most of what comes up is parts for 9 inch drums. Does any body offer a better break line package other than Yearone, I would love to find a complete kit.

Thanks guys

Yup 10"
The 10.090 is the maximum resurfacing/wear measurement I beleive.

I think there are a couple sizes of 10" drums though... 10x1.75" and 10x2" but others will chime in I'm sure

It was 10 inch for early cars with V8 65 and up and 9 inch for /6 cars from the early cars I have seen. It helps when searching on the web to enter a V8 to find the 10 inch drums.

Yes, they are 10 inch. For the small bolt pattern, they are 10X1.75". You have to be careful not to get the 10X2.5" drums (for BBP).

10x1.75=sbp while 10x2.50 are lbp. And correct, the 10.090 is max to cut them

Are you talking about the front or rear? There were some wider sbp 10" drums used on front. I think they were 2". I know because I have a set from a 69 (I believe) Formula S sitting in my shop. They're 10" diameter & definitely don't look like the 1 3/4" wide rear stuff.

I,ll admit thats a general statement. Just what i have run across. Question is how large was the shoe?
