Picking up 340 Core today to start build. Just wondering general concensus on best company to deal with for small block parts. Thanks in advance.

Start wit your local machine shop. I've found it makes things easier an smoother to have them get most of the hard parts if you're doing a rebuild. Cost wise it may be a little more, but they know what sizs and you can go down and talk to them if there's a problem. Pretty much anyone can be a good vendor. Find one that has what you need and isn't too far away. As for big mail order places I like Mancini and SUmmit, in that order. Although I've used Campbell Racing, Jegs, PAW, and bought direct from manufacturers. The biggest point is it's your engine. It's your purchase. Know what you need, and the right measurements, and pretty much anyone is fine.

I went with Rod @ BPE for the rotating assembly
and mostly Summit for everything else...

I ordered 98% of my stuff from summit (after the machine shop told me the specs, also another thing about doing it this way is the look on their faces when theyre expecting a cheap part but show up with the good stuff. The example would be a cast rotating assembly but show up with a fully forged setup designed to handle 1500hp!) and a few other things from other people (I like summit, they've never tried to screw me).

I have had good luck with summit, able to answer most questions on their tech line and guide me to right part. Also quick shipping

Mopac is OK for us Canucks for alot of parts,,,IF you know what you want. With the dollar being par-ish their pricing is similar to Summit but no shipping on top of that, unless you don't want to wait for a stock order then you will be paying freight. I found most guys are mediocre as far as knowledge goes so make sure you have researched your parts and know exactly what you want, tech help isn't to likely, especially on Mopar stuff.
I ordered my valvetrain stuff and girdle from Hughes Engines, plan on getting heads and cam there as well. I like that they are a Mopar exclusive company and know their stuff.
