looking for a pistol grip shifter for 72 Demon...4 speed non console car. See B and E shifters but no A body...are the E or B interchangeable?? any help here appreciated..thanks in advance

For whatever reason, Ma MoPar never chose to use pistol grips in A-bodies- but you should be able to use a b-body non-console stick/shifter. It'll bolt right in and function, just may sit a little awkward to the seat, guess you could always shorten the handle to make it fall where it's comfortable (just hope you cut a repop if you do)

I saw on Brewer's performance site they list a e body and claim it works well for A body....going to look into it....hope My existing shifter is bolt on...My last B body was a slip in type...just got the car and have to look

I'm using an e body pistol grip in my duster, and love it. I thing the b body ones look to tall , but just my opinion.

If yours wasnt factory with the pistolgrip, adding it wont add any value, but it will sure add WOW to it. Mine is a 69 cuda 4spd console car and I am adding the pistol grip, but I will be going new thru this company. Let someone else pay big $$ for the orig. You can get new that will work for your car. I will be buying this for my 4 speed thanks for the info 4spdragtop

Nice choice! I just love the look and feel of the pistol grip..

I used the shorter e-body pistol grip without any bends in my 1974 Dart I converted from an auto to a standard. I liked this shifter handle but I found that my leg couldn't really ever relax with this shifter in the car. My leg would rest against the handle and it was somewhat uncomfortable on long trips. Perhaps I could have fixed the with a different seat combination but I always wanted to try a different handle. I was running original style bucket seats in that car.

I loved having the pistol grip in the car and the shorter throw made it seem more sporty. I will have a pistol grip in all of my 4-speed cars. I will also have competition plus style hurst shifter mechanisms. I loved going through the gears and having the stop bolts on the shifter.

I understand the shifter adds no value but I had one in a B body and an e-body and loved the look on peoples faces when they saw it and had to get their kids so they could see it.

I think a B body would be too tall...leaning towards e-body type

it appears brewer's performance agree's on the B body shifter....It's the same price as the other place recommended..I'm going for it....

No offense, but I would just love to grab some gears in that Dart. Its one of my favorites on FABO. Gotta like the pistol grip.
Thanks Efried.I,be contiplated selling but can,t picture somebodyelse rowing the gears after all my hard work and $$$$.So I,ll keep it.
