best transmission for the money

just placed a big order with mancini,bought a whole lotta stuff to ship back to australia,including a tci super streetfighter transmission,got on here last night and red so much negative and bad stuff about tci it scared the crap out of me,so i rang mancini and cancelled the tranny part of the order,i dont really want to build one myself at this stage cause i,m to busy i have $1300 to spend on a fully rec,d,shift kitted 727 to go behind my 451 stroker,which will be about 550 hp,because i will be bringing this box all the way back to australia,i need it to be done right,who do you recommend i buy a box off,i believe a and a transmissions do a good job,someone in california would be great cause thats where i ship from,any suggestions?:cheers:

How about the guy that made the rebuild video in the sticky above. Isn't he from Australia? Might be worth checking out. Seemed to be into mopars.

I have that trans behind my 499 stroker. Has about 75 quarter mile passes and 2 k street miles on it. No problems so far. Must of just got lucky.
