I love Mopars, especially the A, B, and E bodies. But, these were nice looking Mustangs. The Vert Camaro was nice as well as the Chevelle. Sorry, but I think it's okay to admire nice looking cars.

A 66 or 67 Chevelle is the only Chevy muscle car I would own. I grew up with my Dad's 67

I actually do love Chevelles, Impalas, and very few Novas. I was a Chevy boy before I switched to Mopar but I still like them no matter what.

Considering Ford... well Fairlanes and Falcons are about the only ones I like, but that Mustang coupe looks different and is pretty nice.

It might be sort of like being married.
OK to look, just don't touch.

Before I got past the point of no return in Mopars, I considered getting a 67-70 fast back Mustang.
Now I MIGHT consider a 67-68 fastback just because they are cool and
Hey, you can build one out of a catalogue.
No parts issues.
Chevy?
Well, where is glory in that.

I may be wrong (again) but is seems to me that the prices of Mustangs have come down.
Or at least adjusted for inflation not as much.

I have a thing for Buick GS's. If I were to do a none Mopar that would be it.

Nice looking cars. And I see nothing wrong with showing them on here. It is all about our love for old muscle cars. I have always liked the looks of the 67 Chevelle. And Ihave owned 3 Mustangs in my day

My son's 70 mustang coupe that is going through restoring at a very slow pace resides two feet from the dart in my garage. Late at night after a few drinks:drinkers::drinkers: I can hear them calling each other names......then my dart ***** slaps the mustang and puts her back in her corral.:):)

Most of the viewers here are motor heads, our love falls to MOPAR but we still enjoy looking at other peoples cars. Sometimes I even get a idea from looking at a Ford or Chebby sometimes.:-D

Thank's for posting and and the car's are nice to look at.

I have always like the small Javelin !!It would be a sweet one to own. A 68 304ci 4 speed or a 390ci.
drove one a few time's.It sure made me look for one anytime I am looking

I've always wanted a black and gold H-code Mustang (Hertz rentacar). I own a '72 Ford van as well as my '65 Barracuda...a cool car is a cool car man, regardless of who's name is on it. Heck, they were all copying each other anyway.

I'm glad the response has been so positive. I do like looking at the older (67-68) Chevelles. There were a couple older Impalas there that looked nice, too. I also like the older GTOs. IMO most of the Mustangs and Camaros are way too common to be special. For instance, the last 3 car shows I've been to, there has been a total of 2 A body Barracudas. One of them was a drag car with more fiberglass than sheet metal. One of the shows was all Mopar, too.

Nothing wrong with checking out Brand X cars. I like them all, chevies being bottom of the ladder, prefer to work on/own Mopars.

Heck if it weren't for a 64 Nova Wagon, 68 Camaro and a 71 Shovel I wouldn't have won my street-racing money to pay for my mopars.

I think that most of us have the right idea about the true appreciation of automobiles, especially the older cars. I know that as I have gotten older I have developed an affinity for virtually anything from the seventies and earlier, even cars that I would have thrown rocks at as kid - I'm thinking Corvairs, Gremlins, you know, the usual list of suspects. Hell, nowadays I don't even get my undies bunched when the AMC guys show up at Mopar meets claiming to be one of us, and I might even give a Corvair refuge if it was nice enough (a Spyder would be cool). I used to hate 2nd generation Camaros; did they just pass them out as birthday or graduation presents to anyone & everyone back then or what??? Now I even have one of those. However it is caged & tubbed and to be quite honest it is a sh*tload of fun to drive (narrowed 8.75 rear sitting under it - can't stray too far from my Mopar roots...). I can't say that I'll ever take a real liking to Mustang coupes (gotta be a fastback or a vert - just my personal tastes, to each his own), and I know that you'll never find an Edsel in my garage, but I do like to look at more than only Mopars these days and try to keep an open mind. I must have mellowed somehow with age...

Adam, I had the opportunity 25 years ago while attending college in Valdosta, GA to cross paths with Richard Lassiter (President of the GS Club of America for those of you that may not recognize the name) many, many times. Make no mistake about it, those Buick GS cars will show you their tail lights at the drop of a hat. And they weren't taking them down to the track at Gainesville on a trailer either...we're talking a 100 mile drive, pull the slicks out of the trunk, turn off the air conditioner, and whip some ***. It left quite an impression on me.

I friend of mine had a 72 GS455. His car was a pig though. I beat him with the Barracuda. Another friend built a 70 GS Stage 1 455, 4 speed car. Spent insane amount of money on the motor and then sold it way to cheap. I see that car all most ever week at the local cruise night. As Fastback340 would say, It gives me "tight pockets"

When it comes to FoMoCo I am more partial to the pre-'71 Cougars. Not quite as popular as the Mustangs and are a nicer all around car.

Quick question;

What's the difference between a Mustang and a Cougar...

...Lock washers!

Now thats funny, I don't care who you are.

My reason for getting A bodies as opposed to a 70 Mach 1 was somewhat utilitarian.
I priced Mustangs.
I priced Dart Sports.
The A body is the better car and cost a lot less.
It used to anyway.
People are still cutting up good A bodies because of economics.
(STOP THE VIOLENCE!)
I don't see Mustangs in the junk yard like A bodies.
But I can show you a Mustang restoration shop with a lot full of belly button Rustangs.
