A company called TVR also builds sports cars with them. The difference is that their /6s are high strung racing types as opposed to our regular base type \6s. (yes the slash was done like that on purpose, check out the picture) pretty cool, except that they need a rebuild every 20K miles...

Pontiac made a slant 4. 1/2 of a 326 or 389,, saw one long ago. It may even used one V8 head.

Mickey Thompson built one of those slanted fours in 61 for salt flats racing.Put a 3-71 rootes blower on it,made 450 h.p.Really wild looking.

2.2/2.5 are slanted. And Cummins had a huge slanted 6 cyl diesel back when. I laughed my *** off when I found one in a Dodge highway tractor.

I have seen an International 4cyl that was exactly that. David

Yup First year of the Pontiac Tempest, watch the movie "My cousin Vinnie" with the incredibly nice Marisa Tomei

Stupid thing used a "flexible driveshaft" with the transmission mounted in the rear, same as the Porsche 924/ 928

AND IHC "Shouts" (Scouts) same as the Phoniac, a V8 sawed in half.

During the gas crunch of the early '70s a cam manufacturor in San Diego was offering conversion kits to convert your V8 into a 4 whanger

Just imagine a 220 CID 440, with all the weight of a 440. I don' theenk so.

I have seen air compressors made out of 302 engines, one side ran and the other compressed air

302 Ferds? Saw one once made out of a GM V6, a company made a special compressor head for one bank. They just took the three unused plug wires, and connected them together to ground.

They aren't the only company to make a hemi either. I had a four cylinder all aluminum hemi in my boat. It had solid lifters, and 10.75:1 compression. Renault, of all things.

yep 302 Ford, saw it on construction site, made lots of air

the first Corollas had copies of the /6, but that they were slanted the opposite way. The spark plug tubes were even the same!
