I am trying to mate a tremec t56 to a 360 and am looking for some help. I have been unable to find a bellhousing to do this.l Keisler says they have done it but do not have any parts avaliable to the public. I have heard that the new Hemis share the same bolt pattern as the LA engines but I dont know if it is true? I also heard that the new hemi and the viper share the same pattern. If that is true I can I use a viper bellhousing to bolt the t56 to my engine. Please help.

Thanx
Nate

That means, yeah we have the parts, but you have to buy the entire thing from us. You will not only have to change the bellhousing, you will have to change the input shaft also.

ok thats the new mopar to tremec i have heard about,,wonder if it can be bought thru jegs or summit and much???

#1- I called your tech support and they told me the kits were not avaliable to the public. I was told you did a couple highend cars and that was it.
#2-I got the T56 I have for free so why would I spend the money for another trans when I can buy an input shaft.
#3-My car is going to have a full 2x4 tube frame with c4 corvette front suspension, custom 3link rear, 5in engine setback, Willwood pedals and master cylinders. That means most of your kit would not be needed for my car.

Dont take this the wrong way but it is frustating when you try to buy something and are first told it isnt avaliable then that it is but you have to buy the kit and your kit will not work in my car. I just need a bellhousing.

I may be wrong jumpin in here, but I think 340_Scamp was being sarcastic. I don't think he works for them..

I have one of the first Quicktime bell housings (RM-6071 MOPAR Bellhousing/TKO 500-600/T5 Mustang/TR3550) for the small block mopar . It is a very nice and looks to be quality engineering. I am going to use it for a t-5 installation on my early a-body.

I haven't started my swap yet, but have heard some great feedback from others who are using quicktime bellhousings. They have said that they didn't have the centering problems that most have with the Lakewood scatter shield. It is also more compact than the Lakewood (a plus for early a-bodies & headers).

I plan on using a hydraulic throwout bearing with this set-up. The trans bore is 4.687". They also provide two additional centering rings for 4.850" & 4.910" to fit all of the listed transmissions.

The only problem is that I can see is that the back of the starter is open and would need a shield fabricated if you were going to use is on the road. I plan on doing just that, as well as fabricating a cover where the mechanical clutch fork would go.

I ordered mine direct from quicktime.

Then he will understand my frustration.

I don't work for them..lol. Yes, I totally understand the frustration. I had a great deal lined out for a Viper T-56 about 3 years ago that I wanted to mate to a small block. There wasn't any way to do it cost effective because I kept getting all of the same roadblocks you are.

65 dart gt,,i have been e mailing quick times,,they didnt mention any thing about an opening near the starter,,??? can you tell us a little or explain that,,please ??? thanks,,also did you get a block saver plate with that bell housing???..only bad thing ive heard was directly from quick time is that this bell housing is sfi approved,,but not certified,,ther is no lower lip with bolts like a scatter shield,,to certifi it at this time,, they told me all depends on demand,,,,any info would be great,,thanks..
