gonna be mis-spelling; bouchillian. Comes with brackets, and simple, works great. From n or s carolina I think.

For the lokar kit all you need is the spring kit and cable kit. The lokar works great, installs easy and is cleaner looking the bpe one

The Lokar is what I'm running-I have the throttle and kickdown assemblies with the bracket kit. You have to have the bracket kit to use either the kickdown or throttle sets...unless you fab your own based on the looks of their kit. The whole setup from Summit would be like $135...takes about two hours total to install all pieces, and adjustment is your mileage may vary...it took me about four times to get the detent correct, but I believe it's worth it if you can't make the stock stuff work correctly.

What is the advantage of using the cable virsus, factory throttle pressure linkage , there is lots of linkage around , and to adjust it is a joke .Does anybody know what this whole kit is worth cable and kit. I was just wondering why people use it .

I bought it because it was compatible with my intake/carb setup. The original throttle linkage didn't work in my application without buying a $45 bracket from MP, and the MP bracket didn't have provisions for the kickdown. So, instead of fabbing up the pieces I went the "easy" route and paid the money for a throttle/kickdown setup I knew would work. I only needed to make some adjustments-easy adjustments...it was worth it to me...many apps don't *need* the Lokar stuff...the advantage for me was ease of install and adjustment. I'll admit to having a couple questions-which I posted on here, but there are probably a few folks on here asking about the adjustment of the factory linkages as well.

I put the $$ of the whole sh-bang up in my last couple of posts...

the advantage is 1) 4bbl linkage isn't the cheapest or easiest to find any more., 2) its a lot cleaner looking then that stock crap.

haven't needed to buy the set up in a while. look it up at summit cor the costs.

Call me crazy but for 130 bucks plus tax and shipping , i can still find linkage alot cheaper sometimes for nothing .And as far as being cleaner looking you cannot see it anyway tucked in under the breather, all i can see is about 6 inches of mine. Guess i am old school not into change and funky stuff.

glad yo can find the stock linkage. not so easy to find around here. and when you do find it its not cheap... and yes you can see that big ugly stock bracket bolted to the rear of the intake. the ugly bracket for the spring at the front of the intake and the stock springs stretched from the carb to that ugly bracket at the front of the intake.. give me the simple clean looking cable every day of the week and twice on sunday.. :)

I also used the Lokar setup. Easy to setup, in fact easier to adjust than the stock linkage. Although, if both cables had been available in black rather than braided, I'd have gone that way. It would've been stealthier, as I don't have any other aluminum or chrome under the hood.

If you're looking for cheap, just grab a kickdown cable off of a Dodge truck or a van. I've got two kickdown cables (one already went into the dart, works great), one from a 4x4 durango with an A500 and one from a late eighties dodge van with an A518. Both the cables are the same, just make sure to grab the cable mounting bracket from the trans, the return spring and return spring bracket from the trans side, and the piece of metal that the cable bolts two on the top of the gear selector lever on the trans. It may look the same, but it's actually angled differently than the stock one. As far as brackets go, I just cut the Durango kickdown/throttle bracket and welded it to the stock 360 throttle setup.

May not look as pretty as the Lokar, but it's also $100 cheaper.

im going to go with Joe's set up maybe when i get my 340 close to going in i'll go stock but for now i need a cable thanks to all
