Just one thing here needs an answere. Just wondering why stainless? Try to lighten up the valvetrain a little with some alum rockers.

If you don't want to spend the bucks on Harland Sharps, then I would strongly look at Hughes. They are $500 i think?..

i guess just tryin to find a roller rocker that will handle the lift of my cam.

And you are adding more lift by going to a 1.6 ratio rocker with the links you put up.

Also the last thing to cheap out on is rockers , more than one person has bought the cheap chinese junk rockers and had to build a new engine becuase they cheaped out a few hundred bucks .

Mopar7172 - couple of thoughts, CompCams has a nice set too, should look at those as well, but they only come in 1.5's. I am a fan of steel /bronze bushed, they are reusable and reliable. Aluminums are good, just more for the race side of the house, you need to keep an eye on them. And, IMO stay away from any that have needle bearings.

And Stokerscamp, got my RAS's, didnt take six months.

I live around the corner from T&D. As someone put it they or the sales person I dealt with was an arrogant @$$, not dropping $1,200 to deal with an @$$ - too found that true when I walked in to talk to them - not doing it

I agree. If I could get a set of bushed ductile iron rockers with .485 offset for my bigblock,I'd be a very happy man.

However,I've tried contacting RAS thier damn useless never even bothered to get back to me.

Been calling RAS for the last YEAR regarding rockers for the slant 6. EVERY time I call it's always "two more weeks". Sorry, but that's bullcrap. They CLEARLY ADVERTISE two kinds of rockers for the slant on their web site. They should have ready to ship.

Like said going with a 1.6 ratio rocker, you're adding lift- be sure to check PTV clearance before starting the engine..

RAS are about $1,150 shipped. Very nice, as good if not better than T&D

And they are 1.6

..............piston to valve............if u got cast pistons, u prolly wont have enough ptv clearance or retainer to guide clearance............kim.......
