So took my car out for a short drive and noticed the driverside wheel leans in a lot more than usual, so took the wheel off and here is what I found LOL

Never replaced a UBJ before, are they pressed in or do they screw in? The front end (disc brakes) is of a 74 dart I believe not sure about the UBJ. Any tips on how to replace this?

They screw in. That's a common problem. The threads are very shallow and fail pretty often. The ball joint itself might still be good. All you have to do is either reinstall that one, or replace it. When you retighten it, put a couple of spot welds between the joint and control arm and that crap won't happen again.

I knew it was a good idea to have bought that welder LOL. So what is the best way to take this thing apart to see if it is in good enough shape to re-use?

My local machine shop always does a tack weld when I have them install the ball joints. I am saving up now for aftermarket ones for two a bodies and one ebody.

yea, thats exactly why i tack mine after i put them in. thats a fairly easy fix. maybe it will stay still while you turn the bolt and then you can pound it out. i would just replaced the ball joint

Typical result of a front end shop pressing therm in and out instead of threading. Weld.

I would replace the uca and the ball joint together, then put short welds to keep it from ever failing again. the threads are most likely ruined and just the welds are not enough to have a safe car.
