so i made new front perches,raising spring 1 1/4"
the rear 255/60 15's always seemed too big..now they tuck up a little more and look better.
car is level now..will this improve my pinion angle?

i am not sure, member 73 abodee is a pro in this area of rear end sitting too high!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! he'll post on here soon .lol

Define improve. It all depends what angle it was at before. Are there any angled shims underneath your rearend housing, at the spring perches? What kind of srpings do you have (leafs I would assume, but are they super stocks or HDs)?

More information is needed, but let me know what your setup is and we'll go from there.

.. stock HD replacement springs and the rear was higher than stock.
just thinking the car sits as it should now.

kind of a confusing question here. do you have a pic of what you are doing? if you moved the perches so the front of the spring is farther away from the car, technically, you raised it higher, and thus making the pinion angle worse. if you moved it so the front of the spring is now closer to the body, then everything is good and the angle will be better. its easy to see how "in-line" the front of the diff is in conjunction with the driveline from viewing it from the side.

.. basically i copied the front perches that E berg sells..the front spring eye mounting hole is 1 1/4 " higher so the rear of the car has been lowered by that amount

yes..factory rear spring shackles.
and i'm thinking this slight change should raise the rear pinion a degree or so in relation to the trans.
can't test drive it for a few days ...they just graded my road and it's all loose gravel..

Go buy an angle finder for ten bucks and measure it. Anything else is just guessing
