Need pre-purchase inspection recommendation - Tracy CA

Looking for someone that could check out abody car for me in the Tracy area. 209 area code? Very willing to pay for time and travel expenses.

Any recommendations on shops within an hour of Tracy that could check out an abody car?

I'm not really close to Tracy (120 miles or so) and it's a fairly small town (my wife has family there). I don't have any plans to go that way, but if you can't find somebody else...What's the car?

It's a 1972 Demon 340 4 speed.

Any shops within 1 hour's drive that could evaluate this car?

The owner stated he is willing to drive the car up to one hour each way for an inspection.

Also the owner says he has a 4 post car lift at his home that can be used to inspect the car.

Any ideas on getting this car checked out? A few years ago, I had a Moparts member located in Southern Cali check out a factory 1970 FE5 340 Duster 4 speed that I did not buy, based on the results of that inspection.

I have high rez. photos of the Demon, and as with many cars, the pics make the car look decent. I need someone to get up close and personal, drive the car and determine whether they would recommend or not.

Of course I am willing to pay for a shop or individual to perform this work.

BTW Jim --- about 13 years ago, I purchased a three groove crank pulley from you, for my 1969 Swinger 340 with factory air, and you were kind enough to send that along for a great price.

I didn't check out a 69 340 Swinger for you too, or did I? Out of Sanger or Reedley, CA about that same time. If nobody else can get there I can check it out. I'd have to figure out for how much and since he has a lift I'd rather check it at his place (I'm getting too old to lay on the ground if I don't have to...). Probably wouldn't have a chance until next weekend, but there might be a chance during the week.
